These were manufactured in West Germany by J.P Sauer & Son, who later became Sig Sauer. They were built like tanks with excellent fit and finish, and are are fairly rare. Herters lost a legal battle with Ruger over the “Single Six” name and most models in existence have the “single six” struck out on the barrel. This specimen doesn’t have it struck out, making it rarer still. Also has a low serial no, making it rarer still.
