Haenel model 28 single-shot spring pistol made before WWII!
Conventional break barrel for loading. The action is cocked by unlatching the pistol grip, which is a subframe, from the upper frame of the gun and swinging it down and to the rear.
Hugo Schmeisser designed thie pistol in 1927. Production started early 1930s ceasing at the start of WWII.
With a similar shape of a P08, speculation the model 28s were used for military training.
