These were manufactured in West Germany by J.P Sauer & Son, who later became Sig Sauer. They were built like tanks with excellent fit and finish. Herters lost a legal battle with Ruger over the “Single Six” name and most models in existence have the “single six” struck out on the barrel. This specimen doesn’t have it struck out, making it fairly rare. Also has a low serial no. The mechanical quality of this gun will not disappoint.
